Education South West supporting the National Institute of Teaching
The Government today announced that the new National Institute of Teaching (NIoT) will be led by the School-Led Development Trust (SLDT), a charity founded by four of England’s leading school trusts. I’m pleased to say that Education South West is a founding Associate College.
Education South West has a strong track record of investing in staff within its schools and beyond, supporting hundreds of schools in the South West peninsula through its designation as a Research School, a Teaching School Hub and our wider strategic partnership with Colyton Teaching School Hub that forms the South West Institute for Teaching (SWIFT).

We already have great teachers and leaders in this country – I am confident that the NIoT will further boost teacher quality to benefit children and young people across England.”
