Remembrance Day.

November 16, 2018

This week the whole school has been learning about Remembrance.

We did an assembly on it with Reverend John and learnt about the events of World War One. In Dolphins we made some poppies out of card. Then we wrote the names of soldiers who died in the war who lived in Kingswear. We also wrote on them, messages to the soldiers; the year they were born and the year they died. Then we tied them to the railings on the way up to school. This also has the other classes’ poppies on too.

The school also has a poppy wreath that 2 of our classmates will lay by the lower ferry on Sunday. We wrote a message in the middle of it along with the school logo.

We also sold some items for the poppy appeal in the playground.
