Safeguarding Statement

Kingswear Primary School recognises its responsibilities for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children under Section 175 of the 2002 Education Act and under the Children Act 2004 and the DfE guidance Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018.

 

This includes checking the suitability of all staff and volunteers; ensuring that we have effective procedures for identifying and managing all issues likely to cause significant harm to children; ensuring a safe environment in which our pupils can learn and development; enabling our pupils to acquire the relevant knowledge and information; and working with other agencies as appropriate.

E-Safety Links:

Children can access the Internet in so many ways. With phones, gaming consoles and tablets offering Internet access along with the more traditional devices such as laptops and PC`s. This is a concern for many of our parents. We have listed below a number of useful websites which can give you advice and guidance.

 

Commonsense Media: This website is a vast database of thousands of apps and games. Enter the name of an app or game and this site will give you a suggested age rating and reviews focusing on appropriateness for children.
